PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a recording medium formed of a normally used paper or the like does not guarantee quality because the recording medium expands and contracts after recording a test pattern and an obtained medium conveyance amount error value is lowered in accuracy if physical length or area of the medium expands and contracts due to moisture or the like.SOLUTION: In a method of calculating a conveyance amount correction value, when obtaining a medium conveyance amount of a recording medium, an image length adjustment value is obtained by using: a medium conveyance pulse number when dot groups, composed of one line in the same direction corresponding to each of two recording heads A and B arranged at different positions in a sub scan direction and composed of one or more dots, overlap at any position on the recording medium; and physical distance between the recording heads A and B. |
