<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery system which is capable of simplifying a protection circuit and can be miniaturized. <P>SOLUTION: A secondary battery system 1 according to the present invention comprises: a lithium-ion secondary battery 3 which is charged/discharged by an electrode reaction of a first active material and in which the first active material, or a reactant or a product of the electrode reaction is a lithium transition metal oxide; and an organic active material secondary battery 4 which is charged/discharged by an electrode reaction of a second active material and in which the second active material, or a reactant or a product of the electrode reaction is an organic substance.
