<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resistance string D/A converter that produces differential output voltage while maintaining an equivalent number of elements and cell area to a single output resistance string D/A converter. <P>SOLUTION: A resistance string D/A converter includes first and second resistor string sections, a data inversion circuit, an output selection switch, and first and second output terminals. The resistor string sections output analog voltage corresponding to (n-1)-bit input data, and the first resistor string section and the second resistor string section have opposite voltage variation directions when lower (n-1)-bit input data varies. The data inversion circuit inverts lower (n-1)-bit data to be converted and output to the resistor string sections with a boundary between data to be converted 2<SP POS="POST">(n-1)</SP>-1 and data to be converted 2<SP POS="POST">(n-1)</SP>. The output selection switch switches the analog voltage outputs of the first and second resistor string sections to the first and second output terminals, as the uppermost data to be converted switches between '0' and '1'. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
