PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric insulation resin composition in which both improvement in electrical characteristics and mechanical characteristics of an insulation cured product and suppression in viscosity of a resin composition are achieved.SOLUTION: The problem is solved by an electric insulation resin composition as an insulation material which is characterized in that: the composition comprises an epoxy resin, a curing agent and fine particles; when they are mixed and cured, a polymer is formed by ring-opening reaction between the epoxy resin and the curing agent and the fine particles enveloped in this polymer forms a plurality of linear aggregates and the aggregates take a dendrite-like structure; a base material of the fine particles is formed of silicon dioxide, aluminum oxide, titanium oxide or boron nitride; and on the surface of the base material, hydrophilic groups and hydrophobic groups are co-existing.
