1. An article comprising:
a non-cellulosic nonwoven fabric layer having first and second opposing major surfaces and having a non-cellulosic nonwoven paper layer attached to each major surface of the nonwoven fabric layer, wherein one or both of the nonwoven paper and nonwoven fabric are electrically insulating, wherein the nonwoven fabric layer comprises binder fibers and para-aramid staple fibers, wherein at least one of the nonwoven paper layers is directly fused to the nonwoven fabric layer, and wherein when the thickness of the article is between about 5 mil and about 20 mil, the tensile strength in the machine direction of the article is greater than about 60 pounds per inch width. |
