PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve size reduction of an electric locomotive electric power conversion device including an APU circuit.SOLUTION: An insulation transformer 20 of an electric-locomotive electric power conversion device receives high-voltage AC power supplied from an AC overhead power line 15, transforms the high-voltage AC power to low-voltage AC power, and outputs the low-voltage AC power. The low-voltage AC power is input to an AC/DC converter 21, and the AC/DC converter 21 converts the low-voltage AC power to low-voltage DC power and outputs the low-voltage DC power to an inverter 23. On the other hand, a PWM control unit 30 outputs a PWM control signal to the inverter 23, the PWM control signal having a predetermined pattern for either removing a specific harmonic component or attenuating the specific harmonic component to a predetermined level or lower from power output from the inverter 23. A voltage control unit controls a DC voltage of the DC power output from the AC/DC converter 21. As a result of these processes, an output signal from the AC/DC converter 21 is input to the inverter 23, and the inverter 23 performs DC-AC conversion under control of the voltage control unit and supplies the resultant DC power to a load. |
