PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact member configured to prevent a cross section of an image holding body from being periodically deformed, an image holding body and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: Contact sections 136 in contact with an inner peripheral surface 108A of a cylindrical body 108 in a contact member 116 are formed in three directions on an outer peripheral surface 118. Even if the cross section of the cylindrical body 108 is to be elliptically deformed due to periodic electrostatic attraction generated between an image holding body 56 and a charging roll 58, the cross section of the cylindrical body 108 can be prevented from being elliptically deformed by the contact sections 136 formed in the three directions. In charging a surface of the image holding body by the charging roll, the cross section of the cylindrical body 108 is prevented from being periodically deformed. |
