PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optic device and electronic equipment capable of displaying a high-quality color three-dimensional image.SOLUTION: A drive unit drives an electro-optic device which includes a liquid crystal panel 1 having a scanning line 3a, a data line 6a, and a pixel part 14, and polarization axis switch means for switching polarization axes of light exiting from the liquid crystal panel. The drive unit includes: a scanning line drive circuit 104 that supplies a scanning signal via the scanning line 3a; and a data line drive circuit 101 that supplies an image signal corresponding to one of a first image and a second image in each field period to the pixel part. A field period when an image signal corresponding to the first image and a field period when an image signal corresponding to the second image are each divided into a plurality of sub-field periods on a temporal axis. |
