<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and inexpensive accelerator pedal operating device capable of increasing the step-on resistance of an accelerator pedal at any time irrespective of the step-on amount of the accelerator pedal. <P>SOLUTION: The accelerator pedal operating device includes a pedal rod 2 rockingly supporting the accelerator pedal 4, and a thrusting part 6 provided to be movable integrally with the pedal rod 2. The accelerator pedal operating device further includes a movable member 54 to be thrust by the thrusting member 6 and moved when the pedal rod 2 is moved to an acceleration side with the accelerator pedal 4 stepped on, a compression spring 55 for energizing the movable member 54 in a direction approximately opposite to the thrusting direction of the thrusting part 6, a fixed member 52 disposed so as to always contact with the movable member 54 within the moving range of the movable member 54, and an electromagnet 53. The fixed member 52 and the movable member 54 include magnetic materials. Energizing the electromagnet 53 can attache the fixed member 52 and the movable member 54 to each other at any position within the moving range of the movable member 54. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
