In a chromatograph mass spectrometer according to the present invention, an optimal-gas-pressure search and control unit (42) carries out MRM measurement on a target compound while changing a collision gas pressure, uses the measurement results to search for an optimal collision gas pressure for obtaining a maximum signal strength, and stores the optimal collision gas pressure for each compound in a compound correspondence information storage unit (43). If target compounds are specified when simultaneous analysis of multiple components is carried out, a control sequence determination unit (44) reads the optimal collision gas pressure and retention time information for the specified compounds from the storage unit (43), creates a control sequence for making the gas pressure in a collision cell (31) the optimal gas pressure at the time when each compound is eluted, and stores the control sequence in a control sequence storage unit (45). The present invention makes it possible to detect each compound with a high degree of sensitivity by carrying out measurement on a sample while controlling the gas pressure according to the created control sequence.
