<p>The invention relates to a process and an installation for producing granular fertilizer. According to the invention, the process consists in dispersing the fertilizer melt in the top part of a granulating tower, where the falling drops of melt are cooled and are hardened when coming into contact with the rising flow of air, the granules from the bottom part of the tower being conveyed to be cooled into an external fluidized bed apparatus, followed by charging, supplying the air into the fluidized bed apparatus and removing the dust-filled air from the fluidized bed apparatus, the air leaving the tower being purified and the granules being conveyed to the fluidized bed apparatus by a horizontal movement and a separate removal of air from at least two zones of the apparatus, wherein the air from the first zone of the fluidized bed apparatus in the direction of passage of the granules is directed into a device for purifying the dust-filled air, and the air from the subsequent zones of the fluidized bed apparatus is directed into the tower. The installation, as claimed by the invention, comprises a granulating tower (1) with some air supply openings (2), an air dispersing device (3), a fluidized bed apparatus (4) with a distributing plate (5), a purifying device (7) for the air from the apparatus (4) and a purifying device (8) from the tower (1), a pipe (9) for the supply of the fertilizer melt into the dispersing device (3), a granule-supply conveying apparatus (10), a conveying apparatus (11) for supplying the granules from the apparatus (4) towards the storage area, an air pipe (12) for supplying the air from a fan (6) to the apparatus (4), an air pipe (13) for supplying the air from the first zone, an air pipe (14) from the second zone, an opening (15) for supplying air from the tower (1) into an air purifying device (8) and some pipes (16 and 17) for discharging the air into the atmosphere.</p> |
