<p>Methods and apparatus for orienting and operating grinding motors and their associated mechanical parameters for rail applications are described. A method for determining a parameter for operation of grinding motors on a grinding vehicle, may include: receiving a rail profile, comparing the rail profile with a target rail template to provide a comparison result, and determining, by a processor, based on the comparison result, one or more of a grinding motor's orientation, power, and speed.</p> |
