A medical stent comprising: a long shaft member that has an internal space extending along the long axis thereof, and that has a side opening formed in the side surface so as to be in communication with the internal space, with an insertion member inserted into the internal space and movable along the long axis; a flap part that has an extension part extending radially outward from the side surface of the long shaft member so as to catch upon tissue, and that has a fixed part continuous from the extension part and fixed to the long shaft member, said flap part being deformable into an open state in which the extension part radially extends from the side surface of the long shaft member and a closed state in which the extension part extends along the long axis of the long shaft member; and a flap radial-expansion prevention part that, with the flap part in said closed state, at least partially passes through the side opening, and holds the flap part in the internal space using the insertion member. |
