<p>The present invention is configured so that one fastener stringer is aligned using a first hook and the other fastener stringer is aligned using a second hook to: engage the elements correctly with each other; improve the durability of a first sensor for detecting the elements of the one fastener stringer and a second sensor for detecting the elements of the other fastener stringer; and prevent damage to the elements by the respective sensors. The fastener chain combining device: configures a fastener chain (13) by moving one fastener stringer (10a) along a first guide path (20) and aligning same using a first hook (7a) and moving the other fastener stringer (10b) along a second guide path (21) and aligning same using a second hook (7b) to engage and combine the elements (12) of the one fastener stringer (10a) with the elements (12) of the other fastener stringer (10b) when passed through an element-engaging path (22); and is configured such that a first sensor (8a) for contactlessly detecting the elements (12) of the one fastener stringer (10a) is provided in the first guide path (20) and a second sensor (8b) for contactlessly detecting the elements (12) of the other fastener stringer (10b) is provided in the second guide path (21). Thus, the durability of the first sensor (8a) and the second sensor (8b) is improved and damage of the elements (12) by the first sensor (8a) and the second sensor (8b) is prevented.</p> |
