<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply activate fat-derived cells while guaranteeing sterility and for rapidly obtaining high therapeutic effects. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a method for activating fat-derived cells by applying heat ranging from 38 to 42°C to fat-derived cells separated from a human adipose tissue. There is also provided a method for producing a graft material containing fat-derived cells separated from a human adipose tissue, wherein an activation step in which heat ranging from 38 to 42°C is applied to the fat-derived cells is provided.
