<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medicinal liquid modifier solution suitable for preparing a water-based medicinal liquid especially water-based eye drops, capable of suppressing proliferation of microorganisms without adding any stimulative antiseptic, and to provide a method for preparing the medicinal liquid. <P>SOLUTION: The water-based medicinal liquid modifier usable for preparing eye drops and the like is provided. A composition practically containing no stimulative antiseptic is obtained by using borate ion and phosphate ion together and adjusting to be pH6.5-8.0 so as to have antiseptic action (microbial proliferation suppressing action) and not to practically contain any stimulative antiseptic. The coexisting molar ratio of the borate ion and the phosphate ion is preferably the former/the latter=1/5 to 6/1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
