An infrared-reflecting layer characterized by: having an infrared-reflecting layer formed by fixing a cholesteric liquid-crystalline phase; exhibiting a reflectance at a wavelength of 1240nm of 40% or more, a reflectance at a wavelength of 1040nm of 40% or more, a reflectance at a wavelength of 875nm of 40% or more and a reflectance at a wavelength of 790nm of 10% or less; and reflecting infrared rays. The infrared -reflecting layer can minimize the color change of reflected light in an oblique direction and exhibits high thermal insulation.
