摘要 A control device for a continuously variable transmission (1) equipped with a belt-type continuously variable transmission mechanism (40) and frictional engagement elements (32, 33), said control device being equipped with: an operation position detection means (65) that detects the operation position of a selection lever (50); a selection control means (60b) that implements a selection control for engaging the frictional engagement elements (32, 33) when switching from a non-travelling range to a travelling range is detected; a determination means (60a) that determines the engagement state of the frictional engagement elements (32, 33); and a pulley pressure control means (60c) that controls the pulley pressure supplied to two pulleys (41, 42). After a prescribed time (T1) has elapsed from the start of the selection control, when it is determined that the frictional engagement elements (32, 33) are disengaged the pulley pressure control means (60c) increases the pulley pressure, and when it is determined that the frictional engagement elements (32, 33) are engaged the pulley pressure control means reduces the pulley pressure. Thus, belt slippage during engagement of the clutch is suppressed and the load on an oil pump is reduced.
