<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fine powder of needle strontium carbonate which has excellent dispersibility in a hydrophobic organic solvent or a polymer resin solution in which a polymer resin is dissolved in a hydrophobic organic solvent.SOLUTION: A fine powder of needle strontium carbonate particles has an average length of the major diameter of 150 nm or smaller, an average aspect ratio of 1.5 or higher and a content of needle particles of lengths of the major diameter of 200 nm or greater of 5% or lower, by the number of particles, and the surface of the needle strontium carbonate particles is treated with (A) a polycarboxylic acid having polyoxyalkylene groups in side chains or its anhydride and (B) a compound having a hydrophilic group and a hydrophobic group and forming an anion in water.</p> |
