PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clip applier that improves operation of an instrument by providing a user with an indication of any surgical event.SOLUTION: An apparatus for application of surgical clips to body tissue includes: a handle assembly 102 including a trigger 108 and a drive bar and reciprocally translatable by the trigger; and a shaft assembly 104 extending distally from the handle assembly and defining a longitudinal axis. The shaft assembly includes: a plurality of surgical clips disposed within a housing; a jaw 106 mounted adjacently to a distal end portion of the housing; a pusher bar disposed within the housing for reciprocal movement between a proximal position and a distal position; and an advancer plate disposed within the housing for reciprocal movement between a proximal position and a distal position. |
