The invention relates to protective glasses (20) and a protective helmet provided therewith. The protective glasses (20) comprise a curved lens panel (22) for protecting the eyes. Two side pieces (24, 26) have an inner end articulated in each case on the helmet and an outer end articulated in each case on the lens panel (22). The protective glasses (20) can be pivoted upwards from a protective position in front of the eyes into a stowed position. Each side piece (24, 26) comprises a glasses arm (28) and a glasses-carrying arm (30), which can be displaced telescopically one inside the other. The glasses arms (28) are curved, at the outer ends of the side pieces (24, 26), in the direction of the lens panel (22), and they therefore adjoin the lens panel tangentially. The glasses arms (28) have axes of articulation on the lens panel (22) which are not aligned with one another. The side pieces (24, 26) can be latched firmly in a form-fitting manner to the lens panel (22) in a number of selectable positions. In the stowed position, the protective glasses (20) are accommodated substantially entirely in the protective helmet. Moreover, the protective glasses (20) can be moved into, and out of, the stowed position using one hand, without the length of the side pieces (24, 26) or the tilt of the lens panel (22) in relation to the side pieces being changed. One-handed actuation of the protective glasses (20) is very advantageous for use of these glasses on a helmet in forestry work, in the industrial sector or for climbing purposes. |
