A coupling element 4, Fig. 2, consists of a tubular upper part 3 joined by integral helical deflecting elements 10 to a lower part 5 having a bore 13. The coupling element is detachably secured by the bore 13 on the shaft 6, Fig. 1, of a driving motor, whilst its upper part supports a centrifugal drum 1, to the hub 2 of which it is detachably secured. An inlet tube 15 is provided, the mixture therefrom being deflected by the elements 10 to the drum surface. In Figs, 3 and 4 (not shown) the drum is of the suspended type ; the lower part 5, with bore, of the coupling element is omitted, while the upper part is lengthened and is detachably secured at the top to a downwardly-directed tubular drive shaft. The part 3 of the coupling element is detachably secured to the drum hub as before. |
