PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit for an air conditioner, for allowing circuit boards different in not only long-side size but also short-side size to be mounted to the same circuit board holding frame.SOLUTION: The outdoor unit for the air conditioner includes: a vertical frame guide which, when one long side of a circuit board smaller than the maximum-size circuit board abuts on the inner wall face of one long side of the circuit board holding frame, is provided at a position corresponding to the other long side; a horizontal frame guide extending from one long side of the circuit board holding frame to the other long side, and which, when one short side of the circuit board smaller than the maximum-size circuit board abuts on the inner wall face of one short side of the circuit board holding frame, is provided at a position corresponding to the other short side; and a circuit board presser tool having a fixing face and a screw hole. The circuit board presser tool is screwed to a screw hole formed in at least the long side or the short side of the circuit board holding frame to hold the circuit board between the fixing face and at least the vertical frame guide or the horizontal frame guide and thus fix it. |
