PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of preventing black floating even when a high saturation image is displayed, and to provide a display device driving method, and an electronic apparatus.SOLUTION: A display device 10 according to the invention comprises: an image display unit 30 including an image display area 30a; a plurality of LEDs 54a-54e arranged corresponding to each of a plurality of subregions A1a-A5b included in the image display area 30a, and irradiating subregions A1-A5 with light; a lighting amount correction processing unit detecting that the plurality of subregions A1a-A5b are non-display areas where no image is displayed on the subregions A1a-A5b, and if the adjacent subregions A1a-A5b form a continuous non-display area, correcting a lighting amount of the LEDs 54a-54e based on a prescribed threshold; and a light source device control circuit 60 controlling an amount of light of the plurality of LEDs 54a-54e. |
