PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal cap giving improved grip feeling when the cap is removed from a bottle and having an appearance that allows identification of each molding device without impairing the design of the cap.SOLUTION: A metal cap 1 includes a cap body 4 including a top surface 41 and a cylindrical part 42 almost vertically dropping from a circumference of the top surface 41, and a knurl part 13 consisting of protrusions 11 and recesses 12 alternatively formed spaced apart from one another near the top surface 41 of the cylindrical part 42 in a circumferential direction. The protrusion 11 protrudes outward radially, having an apex 11a such that the height of the protrusion is maximized at a predetermined position in the axial direction of the cylindrical part 42. At least one of the protrusions 11 has a different shape from the other protrusions and is formed at a position avoiding an overlapping part between a start and a terminal points of rotational forming of the cylindrical part 42. |
