PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, better than a conventional method, for operating a stationary generator (2) connected with a power supply network upon occurrence of a fault in the power supply network.SOLUTION: Upon occurrence of dynamic network fault, especially electrical short circuit, in a power supply network (G), at least one of the fault values (N1-N29) is determined depending on the state values (S1-S9) of at least one operation parameter of a generator (2). The at least one of the fault values (N1-N29) is associated with at least one of the components (3, 4, 5) of the generator (2), and a maintenance signal (M) for at least one of the components (3, 4, 5) of the generator (2) is outputted depending on the at least one of the fault values (N1-N29). |
