The chamber has an annular wall (15) with passages (20) ensuring cooling of the chamber by air circulation through the passages. An air inlet orifice is located in a plane of an external surface of the wall and defined in downstream by an external part of a downstream edge (25) of each passage. An air outlet orifice is defined by an internal part of the downstream edge and by a downstream edge (35) of a deflector (30). The deflector extends the wall towards interior of the chamber and downstream, and diverts air from exterior towards interior and downstream of the chamber. An independent claim is also included for a method for forming passages in an annular wall of a combustion chamber.
