According to the present invention, a lightweight ladle to carry a molten metal comprises: a firebrick layer disposed such that a sidewall part may be in contact with a molten metal storage space, and is in contact with molten metal within the molten metal storage space; a castable layer composed of a first castable layer disposed on the outside of a second firebrick layer and the second castable layer disposed outside of the first firebrick layer; a metal layer disposed coaxially with a castable layer on the outside of the castable layer forming a contour of the sidewall part; and an air layer located between the first castable layer and the second castable layer. Therefore, a firebrick layer at low costs and high heat insulation property may be formed; the total weight of the ladle to carry the molten metal may be reduced; and impact from the outside may also effectively be buffered or blocked.
