<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet processing device avoiding buffer overflow caused by an input packet.SOLUTION: The packet processing device includes: a packet transmitter unit 130 for transmitting a packet on the basis of a flow table in which a packet processing method is defined; and a buffer 110 for storing a packet. The packet transmitter unit 130 transmits, when an undefined packet is input to the flow table, the undefined packet to another packet processing device if the availability of the buffer 110 exceeds a threshold, whereas if the availability of the buffer 110 is the threshold or lower, stores the undefined packet into the buffer 110 and transmits to a predetermined port a message to inquire a method for processing the undefined packet.</p> |
