PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfy a demand that an installation method is required for precisely placing a vent device on a lamp enclosure, and provide also an easier installation method.SOLUTION: A method is for installing an adhesive type vent device in a manner of covering an aperture in a surface, the adhesive type vent device having at least one substantially straight serrated edge, an air permeable vent region, and an adhesive region which surrounds the air permeable vent region and in which an adhesive is disposed. The method comprises: providing an edge guide adjacent to the aperture, the edge guide being adapted to inhibit motion in at least one direction on the surface; positioning the serrated edge on the surface such that the serrated edge of the adhesive type vent device engages with the edge guide; and pressing the adhesive type vent device onto the surface such that the air permeable region of the adhesive type vent device covers the aperture and the adhesive type vent device is fixed to the surface by the adhesive. |
