PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion secondary battery arranged to suppress the separator clogging by a decomposition product, and improved in cycle characteristics.SOLUTION: A lithium ion secondary battery comprises: a positive electrode including a positive electrode active material of solid solution having LiMnOas a base structure; a negative electrode including a negative electrode active material occluding and desorbing lithium ions at 0.5 V or below based on Li; and an electrolytic layer having a separator interposed between the positive and negative electrodes, and impregnated with an electrolytic solution. In the lithium ion secondary battery, The ion conductivity of the separator infiltrated with the electrolytic solution is 20% or more of that of the electrolytic solution alone. |
