PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of coping with both of the case where a fixing member is desired to be efficiently heated and the case where the temperature of the fixing member is desired to be quickly uniformized.SOLUTION: A fixing device 18 includes a fixing member 21 rotatably provided, a pressure member 23 arranged on the outer diameter side of the fixing member 21, coming into press-contact with the fixing member 21, to form a fixing nip 31, and rotatably provided, a heat source 26 arranged on the inner diameter side of the fixing member 21 and radiating radiation heat, a heat transmission member 27 coming into contact with the inner peripheral surface of the fixing member 21, to absorb the radiation heat radiated from the heat source 26 and transmit the radiation heat to the fixing member 21, a reflection member 28 reflecting the radiation heat radiated from the heat source 26 toward the heat transmission member 27, and a contact/separation mechanism 29 by which the heat transmission member 27 and the reflection member 28 are brought into contact with each other and separated from each other. |
