PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymerizable composition capable of easily adding antibacterial property to devices for eyes and medical devices at relatively low cost, and to provide an antimicrobial composition obtained by polymerizing the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a polymerizable composition for eyes or medical treatment containing &egr;-polylysine having a (meth)acryloyl group. In the polymerizable composition, the content of the &egr;-polylysine having the (meth)acryloyl group is preferably about 0.1 to 99 wt.%. There are also provided a coating agent for eyes or medical treatment containing the polymerizable composition, an antibacterial composition for eyes or medical treatment obtained by polymerizing the polymerizable composition, eye devices or medical devices containing the antibacterial composition, and a contact lens containing the antibacterial composition.
