<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load-supporting expansion device that is suitable for a road bridge having a large amount of expansion/contraction, and is superior in load capacity and water stop performance.SOLUTION: An expansion device is configured by assembling and integrating a parallel pair of standing face plates (Pa), (Pb) extending along a joint gap (S) with a large number of parallel coalition finger plates (Fa), (Fb) intersecting with the face plates only by a fixed angle (θ) so as to become an overlapping state in which the front plate pieces (7a), (7b) of the finger plates are alternately engaged with each other on the joint gap (S) only by a fixed amount (X). The mutual interval (joint gap) between both face plates opposite to each other is partitioned by a release sheet (16) coming into contact with the front plate piece from downward and laid in a horizontal state. A foamed material layer (17) is filled in a space of an upper stage from this, and a refractory material layer (18) is deposited on the surface. Alternatively, an elastic water cutoff layer (19) is filled in a space of a lower stage from the release sheet, and a secondary elastic water cutoff sheet (21) covering this from the lower side is hung down.</p> |
