PURPOSE:To improve the dehumidifying efficiency of an evaporator and reduce energy loss by a method wherein dehumidifying operation is effected by the intermittent operation of an indoor motor and the opening and closing of a damper in accordance with an indoor temperature in the dehumidification effected by heating cooling air by high-temperature atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:In case the room temperature is high, room cooling operation is effected by continuous operations of the indoor motor 6 and an outdoor motor 9 under a condition that the damper 11 is closed. In case the room temperature is comparatively high, the dehumidifying operation under rather room cooling is effected by the intermittent operation of the indoor motor 6 under a condition that the damper 11 is being closed to reduce the amount of ventilation and the temperature of the evaporator 7 in order to increase a difference between the temperature of the evaporator 7 and the dew-point temperature of indoor air. According to this method, cooling effect for the indoor air is reduced compared with the case of general room cooling operation and the dehumidifying efficiency is improved while the amount of dehumidification may be increased. The dehumidifying operation under rather room heating is effected by a method wherein the damper 11 is opened, the starting time of the outdoor motor 9 is delayed than the same of the indoor motor 6 and the intermittent operation of the motor 9 is effected under shortening the stopping time of the motor 9 to introduce the high-temperature atmosphere into the room 3 and thereby heating the air in the room. |
