PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat storage material for a canister in which a phase change material is not moved within a closed vessel even if the material melts, and external heat can be efficiently transmitted to the phase change material.SOLUTION: This invention relates to heat storage materials 40 and 50 for a canister in which a phase change material 17, which is arranged together with an adsorbing material 12 within a canister 20 for adsorbing and catching evaporated fuel generated in a fuel tank so as to restrict temperature variation in the canister 20 under utilization of latent heat at the time of its coagulation or melting, is stored in closed vessels 41 and 51. The phase change material 17 includes paraffinic hydro-carbon Cto Cand gelatinizer composed of olefin elastomer, the phase change material becomes semisolid gelling state. In addition, the phase change material 17 is arranged along entire inner walls of the closed vessels 41 and 51 and the central part within the closed vessels 41 and 51 has a space S allowing variation in volume to be attained as the phase changes in the phase change material 17. |
