<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a lens barrel without impairing the strength of the lens barrel.SOLUTION: A lens barrel 20 includes a first frame 130, a second frame 335, and a retreat lens frame 401. The second frame 335 is movable in an optical axis direction with respect to the first frame 130. The retreat lens frame 401 is movable around a retreat axis substantially parallel to an optical axis during a transition period between a photographable state and a storage state. An inner peripheral part of the first frame 130 is formed with a contact part a7 having at least one sidewall erected toward the inside. The retreat lens frame 401 has a protrusion 411. The protrusion 411 is engaged with and guided by the contact part a7 when the retreat lens frame 401 moves around the retreat axis. An area constituting the sidewall of the contact part has a thickness increasing more than that of other area, toward the inside of the first frame 130.</p> |
