<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coal/vegetable composite briquette having such a shape as to improve the ignition speed and the combustion speed and a method of combusting the briquette and improve the added value by mixed combustion of the coal/vegetable composite briquette and coal.SOLUTION: A coal/vegetable composite briquette 100 is a compact composed of a compound of coal powder mixing with a vegetable powder consisting of powders of rice straw, barley straw, maize stems, wood, and bagasse, and a desulfurization agent, e.g. Ca(OH)or CaCO, and includes a thin flash part b, a bottom surface 'a' which is provided on the loser side of the flash part b and consists of a flat surface and a convex part c which is provided on the upper side of the flash part b and has a convex part being convex upward. The briquette 100 has a large specific surface area and a long shape of the flash part b around the briquette and is thus high in ignition speed and combustion speed.</p> |
