Controlling an electronic device to acquire a personal profile for a person. The electronic device acquires a personal profile for a person identified by a unique identifier. The personal profile is a profile generated by applying big data analytics to personal data collected for the person identified by the unique identifier. Responsive to reception of at least one candidate profile, the electronic device is controlled to perform a match between the personal profile and the at least one candidate personal profile. The electronic device is controlled to provide at least one user-perceivable indicator that indicates a result of the match. The unique identifier of the person is a fingerprint received via a fingerprint scanner. The personal profile is generated and stored by a data processing system prior to receipt of the unique identifier.

1. A profile matching system comprising:
an electronic device that includes one or more electronic device processing units constructed to:
receive a unique identifier of a person;acquire at least one personal profile for a person identified by the unique identifier received at the electronic device, the one or more electronic device processing units receiving the at least one personal profile from a personal profile storage medium via a network;responsive to reception of at least one candidate profile, perform a match between the at least one personal profile and the at least one candidate profile, the one or more electronic device processing units performing the match by comparing one or more keywords of the at least one personal profile with one or more keywords of the at least one candidate profile;provide at least one user-perceivable indicator that indicates a result of the match; and a profile generation device that includes one or more profile generation device processing units constructed to:
collect photos uploaded by the person identified by the unique identifier to a photo-sharing server by using an application programming interface (API) of the photo-sharing server;generate a personal profile by applying one or more of object recognition and character recognition processing to the collected photos to generate one or more keywords, the generated personal profile including the one or more keywords; andstore the generated personal profile in the personal profile storage medium.
