PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for lining of a branch pipe which improve air-tight connection of a pressure bag to a branch pipe lining material and enable reliable reverse insertion of a branch pipe lining material into a branch pipe.SOLUTION: A branch pipe lining material 1 having a flange 3 formed at one end of a tubular resin absorption material 2 is set in a head collar 70 having a bent part 71a and a cylindrical part 72b which protrudes from the bent part and whose outer diameter is smaller than the inner diameter of the flange. An expandable ring-shaped expansion body 80 is attached to the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical part of the head collar 70. Since the expansion body expands so that its outer peripheral surface comes in tight contact with the inner peripheral surface of the flange and that its inner peripheral surface comes in tight contact with the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical part of the head collar, the branch pipe lining material is connected air-tightly to the head collar. A pressure fluid reversing the branch pipe lining material never leaks from the connection part, and the branch pipe lining material is reverse-inserted reliably into the branch pipe.
