<p>The present invention relates to a composition for treating or preventing brain diseases or neural diseases containing a composite extract of polygonum multiflorum, foxglove, milkwort, and sweet flag. The composite extract according to the present invention protects hippocampus cells, increases proliferative activity of neural stem cells, prevents tau protein from being hyperphosphorylated, increases cerebral blood flow in animal models, alleviates cerebral infarction, and improves one′s memory, cognitive capability, and learning ability, therefore, it can be used effectively for preventing or treating brain diseases or neural diseases.</p> |
