<p>The engine has a cylinder (10), in which a piston is displaceably mounted, where the piston compresses an essentially homogenous fuel-air mixture in a main combustion chamber in the cylinder. An ignition plug, which is attached to the cylinder, is arranged in a pre-chamber (1). The fuel-air mixture e.g. methane gas air mixture flows through an overflow opening (2) and into the pre-chamber during compression, such that the mixture is self-ignited when the engine is accelerated, and the burning fuel-air mixture subsequently flows through the opening and into the main combustion chamber to ignite the fuel-air mixture.</p> |
