<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular current interruptor that not only protects cables but also is free from decreasing a traveling distance extended by the capacity expansion of a battery unit. <P>SOLUTION: Based on the current value of a current flowing in a cable and a time required for the current flowing therein, the current interruptor calculates not only the value of a fuse melting characteristic that distinguishes a fuse protection region where the cable is protected by a fuse from a fuse non-protection region other than the fuse protection region but also the value of a smoking characteristic that distinguishes a cable melting region where the cable is melted to be smoked from a cable non-melting region other than the cable melting region. Then, a contactor interruption conditions including the current value for interrupting the contactor and the time are set so that the current value and the time are existent in a region where the fuse protection region and the cable non-melting region are overlapped to interrupt the contactor based on the contactor interruption conditions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
