<p>An article of footwear includes an upper and a sole assembly secured to the upper. The sole assembly includes a top plate and a bottom plate spaced from the top plate. A central member is positioned between the top plate and bottom plate and includes a plurality of elastomeric support columns. A plurality of indentations is formed in a lower surface and along a periphery of the central member, with each indentation extending upwardly into an elastomeric support column. A plurality of raised portions is positioned along a periphery of the bottom plate, with each raised portion being nested in an indentation in the central member.</p> |
