<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas barrier plastic molding that has both high gas barrier properties and high glossiness. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a gas barrier plastic molding 90 has a gas barrier thin film 92 consisting principally of silicon (Si), carbon (C), and oxygen (O) on a surface of a plastic molding 91. The gas barrier thin film 92 includes an upper layer 92a and a lower layer 92b, having relation of inclined composition in a depth direction. When XPS analysis of the gas barrier thin film 92 is made in the depth direction, the O content rate of the upper layer 92a represented by numerical expression 1 is lower than that of the lower layer 92b, the Si content rate of the upper layer 92a represented by numerical expression 2 is higher than that of the lower layer 92b, and 60°C specular gloss Gs (60°) of a surface 92s of the gas barrier thin film 92 measured according to JIS K 7105:1983 is 170 or larger.
