<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently drive a capacitive load by using a plurality of charge storage elements. <P>SOLUTION: The charge storage elements are charged by connecting a power supply and a plurality of charge storage elements in parallel (a first connecting state). A voltage is applied to the capacitive load by connecting one element selected from the plurality of charge storage elements in parallel with the capacitive load or connecting a plurality of selected elements in parallel with the load under the state with the plurality of selected elements connected in series (a second connecting state). When the number of selected charge storage elements is changed over in the second connecting state, the voltage applied to the capacitive load can be changed over. Other charge storage elements are connected in parallel with one charge storage element in the state where the charge storage element is being connected in parallel with the capacitive load (a third connecting state). Consequently, since charges are redistributed among the charge storage elements, the capacitive load can be driven efficiently. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
