1. A display apparatus comprising:
a dividing unit that divides an image into blocks including a first block, a second block, a third block, and a fourth block, each of the blocks including pixels; a control unit that
(a) calculates first lower correction data based on how many pixels matched to a first disclination pattern are in the first block and how many pixels matched to a second disclination pattern are in the first block,(b) calculates first upper correction data based on how many pixels matched to a third disclination pattern are in the first block and how many pixels matched to a fourth disclination pattern are in the first block,(c) calculates second lower correction data based on how many pixels matched to the first disclination pattern are in the second block and how many pixels matched to the second disclination pattern are in the second block,(d) calculates second upper correction data based on how many pixels matched to the third disclination pattern are in the second block and how many pixels matched to the fourth disclination pattern are in the second block,(e) calculates third lower correction data based on how many pixels matched to the first disclination pattern are in the third block and how many pixels matched to the second disclination pattern are in the third block,(f) calculates third upper correction data based on how many pixels matched to the third disclination pattern are in the third block and how many pixels matched to the fourth disclination pattern are in the third block,(g) calculates fourth lower correction data based on how many pixels matched to the first disclination pattern are in the fourth block and how many pixels matched to the second disclination pattern are in the fourth block, and(h) calculates fourth upper correction data based on how many pixels matched to the third disclination pattern are in the fourth block and how many pixels matched to the fourth disclination pattern are in the fourth block; a first generating unit that generates interpolated upper correction data corresponding to a target pixel based on the first upper correction data, the second upper correction data, the third upper correction data, and the fourth upper correction data; a second generating unit that generates interpolated lower correction data corresponding to the target pixel based on the first lower correction data, the second lower correction data, the third lower correction data, and the fourth lower correction data; and a changing unit that changes a dynamic range of the target pixel based on the interpolated upper correction data and the interpolated lower correction data. |
