Disclosed are a robot for a ship and an apparatus for setting a driving section of the robot. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the robot for a ship comprises: a curvature measurement unit attached to the robot drive on the outer wall of a hull and measuring a curvature value of the outer wall of the hull in a predetermined position by the height; a driving section setting unit setting a section where the robot can drive by the height on the basis of the measured curvature value; and a driving direction control unit controlling a driving direction of the robot within the section where the robot can drive.
