<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device capable of suppressing increase in thrust of auxiliary steering means.SOLUTION: The steering device includes: a steering mechanism 3 for steering right and left front wheels FR, FL through a steering wheel 3A; a right wheel-in motor 2B and a left wheel-in motor 2A disposed at the right and left front wheels FR, FL for giving braking force or driving force to the respective wheels FR, FL independently; a power steering unit 4 for giving auxiliary steering torque to assist the steering mechanism 3 with the steering; and a wheel-in motor controller 5 for controlling the right and left wheel-in motors 2B, 2A and making different magnitude of braking force or driving force be applied to the right and left front wheels FR, FL thus generating right and left braking and driving force steering torque for acting in the same direction as the action direction of the auxiliary steering torque and assisting the auxiliary steering torque.</p> |
