摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication technology that can increase the number of channels over the limit of channel density by spatial multiplex system and achieving high density.SOLUTION: An optical module comprises: an optical waveguide 310 provided on a surface of a substrate 305; a plurality of grooves 325 each including a vertical surface and an oblique surface with respect to the surface of the substrate 305; a plurality of light-emitting and light receiving element pairs 335a-335d aligned with the plurality of grooves 325 of the optical waveguide 310, and provided on the optical waveguide 310 so as to correspond to light of a plurality of different wavelengths; and a plurality of light selection filters 330a-330d that are provided on the oblique surfaces of the plurality of grooves 325 of the optical waveguide 310, respectively reflect light of corresponding wavelengths from the light-emitting elements of the corresponding light-emitting and light receiving element pairs 335a-335d and guide the light into the optical waveguide 310, select light of corresponding wavelengths from propagation light propagating in the optical waveguide 310, and that reflect the selected light to the light receiving elements of the corresponding light-emitting and light receiving element pairs 335a-335d.
